Technical Service Engineer

Essential Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:

Quality control and design assurance
  • Performing quality tests on Rennsteig tooling, e.g. cross-sections, pull-out tests, electrical resistance tests…(hands-on)
  • Final setup internal quality lab (hands-on)
  • Install an incoming and outgoing materials, components, and finished goods inspection (Quality control)
  • Generate test reports & Calibration reports
Custom developments for customers
  • Provide input on solution/prototype development and client requirements
  • Prototyping new die assemblies and locators according to customer requirements (hands-on)
  • Customized hardware development and reverse-engineering services from existing products (hands-on)
  • Investigate customer complaints (RMA returns) and other technical tasks supporting the current business
  • 3D printing & 3D visualization (hands-on)
Documentation and process optimization
  • Develop, document, and file clear, concise, and effective technical communication materials (manuals, exploded drawings …)
  • Drawing management, including updating existing drawings & create new drawings
  • Optimizing CNC programs in cooperation with the team
  • Train new and existing customers concerning products 

Rennsteig standard requirements:

  • Knowledge of electric cables and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, maintenance, and quality control.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • CAD/CAM engineering experience
  • Expertise in CNC and manual machine shop techniques (prototype / R&D capacities)
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Strong organizational and communication skills are required
  • Ability to work well independently 
  • English is required/German and or Spanish language skills are a plus.
