Production Manager

At Rennsteig Tools, Inc., we manufacture high-quality pneumatic crimping machines and specialized tooling for the professional market.
On our small but growing production floor in Camarillo, we are looking for a Production Manager who enjoys variety, thrives in a hands-on environment, and can keep a team motivated and organized. This position is part of a planned succession in Q3 2026, with sufficient onboarding time provided alongside our current Production Manager.
This role is ideal for someone with a solid technical foundation in metalworking and machining, who can balance production planning with process improvement, quality assurance, and team leadership.
You’ll play a key role in helping us scale production while maintaining the high standards our customers expect.

Essential Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee day-to-day production activities
  • Manage production schedules to ensure on-time delivery and efficient workflow
  • Monitor and maintain product quality through regular inspections and quality control checks
  • Support purchasing by coordinating material requirements and keeping an overview of inventory needs
  • Analyze, improve, and document production processes for efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and organized production environment
  • Motivate and support employees in their daily work, fostering a positive team culture
  • Collaborate closely with management to align production output with business goals

What Skills Do You Need?

  • Solid technical background in metalworking / machining
  • Previous experience in production planning and shop floor organization
  • Basic knowledge of quality control standards and documentation practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on mentality
  • Ability to motivate, guide, and positively influence team members
  • Good organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Comfortable using ERP systems or similar software tools
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a small team environment
  • English is required; German and/or Spanish language skills are a plus
